Epic Link:
As an anonymous users, particularly one new to SonarQube, I should land on a page that promotes
- logging in to benefit from a better user experience
- the main concepts in SonarQube
The homepage should:
- be simple and generic, i.e. it shouldn't be customizable and shouldn't try to fit everybody's needs
- not offer unique content that can't be found elsewhere
- provide only high-level figures, if any
- be available after login at the home icon/logo in the top-left
- be presented when login is required (e.g. on accessing Dory, a logged-out user would see this page)
Content
- login form at the top of the page
SonarQube main concepts
As an anonymous user, I want to see an introduction in a few words to main concepts of SonarQube:
- Quality Model
- Water Leak Paradigm
- Leak Period
- Quality Gate
and beyond those concepts:
- Quality Profile
- Rules Standards
- How to run analysis on a project?
Global figures
As an anonymous user, I want to see global figures representing the activity of the projects analyzed by SonarQube:
- the number of projects
- the total number of LOC
- the total number of bugs, vulnerabilities and code smells
Nice to have
It makes sense for SonarQube.com to have different front page content. A mechanism to provide different, hard-coded, content below the login form is desirable.
